The Mandatory Reporting is Not Neutral Storytelling Project shares survivor stories about the impact of mandatory reporting.

For this initial offering, we are sharing four stories about the impacts of mandatory reporting and family policing on children, families and their communities. Some of these stories are shared through conversation with members of the Mandatory Reporting is Not Neutral project and some stories were submitted in writing. Our first story, I Became My Family’s Problem Child, launched in March of 2025 with new stories dropping monthly.
